This is my version of the District 12 mentor... I can see him just like this image, and to be honest I've impressed so much cause I've never did a portrait as this one.
Reasons about this drawing: He's my favorite character from the Hunger Games books
Really I hope to you like it!!
Tell me about your opinion, is pretty important to me!!
Character (c) Suzanne Collins
Thank you, for making his hair look dark. As much as I LOVE Woody Harrelson as Haymitch in the movies, the point is that in the book he is originally from the Seam. And Seam looks are olive skin, grey eyes, and straight black hair. (Probably with a few exceptions, not including Prim, but you get me right?) I think they cast amazing actors for the roles in the movies, but I think they could have done a lot to make them look like they're supposed to look in the book. One super easy fix, Katniss says she has straight black hair, like Gale, so they could straighten her hair. In fact, I don't even think that Jennifer Lawrence has curly hair naturally. Anyways, sorry for the mini-rant, believe me, I could go all night long ranting at what they should have done better to keep in line with the books. Haha. But even just in pencil I think you caught Haymitch as he is in the books, (more or less I haven't read the books in a while!).
My dear, I'm totally agree with you.
I love too the Woody Harrelson's performance but I would like watch him on screen like Collins described him, and is not common find fanarts as I imagined so that's why I decided to draw him!
Thank you very much!!! read your opinion is important, 'cuz I can meet other people with similar likes. Really thank you!
I hope submit more of Hunger Games, and of course more of Haymitch X)
